Orleans Tech Awarded Military Friendly School Title from G.I. Jobs
G.I. Jobs, the premier magazine for military personnel transitioning into civilian life, has awarded Orleans Technical Institute the designation of Military Friendly School. Orleans is one of only four trade/technical schools in the Philadelphia region to make the 2012 Military Friendly Schools list, which honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members and veterans as students. The Military Friendly Schools list is the gold standard in letting veterans know which schools will offer them the greatest opportunity, flexibility and overall experience.

Orleans Receives Accreditation Renewal
In August 2010, Orleans Technical Institute received a 5-year renewal of accreditation from the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). Orleans Technical Institute has been accredited since 1981 and is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education's State Board of Private Licensed Schools.

Orleans Receives Encore Opportunity Award
Orleans Technical Institute was presented with the prestigious 2009 Encore Opportunity Award by Civic Ventures, a national think tank on baby boomers, work and social purpose. This award, sponsored by the MetLife Foundation, honors eight employers nationally in the nonprofit and public sector with effective strategies for engaging experienced adults over 50 in meaningful "second careers." The award recognizes Orleans, where more than half of the roughly 120 employees are age 50-plus. In addition, the school helps the instructional staff, most of whom are former trades people with decades of experience, transfer their skills to the classroom and offer a unique experience to students.

Orleans Honors Its Employer Partners with Leadership Awards
Orleans Technical Institute and its parent organization, JEVS Human Services, awarded the following honors at "Strictly Business," an annual event that raises funds which provide scholarships to students attending Orleans Technical Institute. The awards honor business partners that hire graduates from Orleans. > Learn more
