News & Newsworthy
Orleans has added a sixth training program to its successful line-up of building trades offerings. The school will begin a six-month Telecommunications Technician training program in June 2009 to teach students the technical skills to install residential and commercial communications cable and equipment.

Orleans Technical Institute's Northeast
Campus received a five-year accreditation renewal
and "School of Distinction Award" from
the nationally recognized Accrediting Commission
of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. This
award acknowledges superior quality, integrity,
and educational effectiveness to students, graduates,
and employers.

Orleans Technical Institute achieved success
as one of five court reporting schools across the
country to receive a second federal grant to train
"realtime writers" to help meet strict
FCC mandates on television captioning.
Employer AwardsOrleans Technical Institute and its parent
organization, JEVS Human Services, awarded the following honors at "Strictly Business," an annual fund-raising event that provides scholarships to students attending Orleans.
2008 Business Leadership AwardAtlas Heating and Cooling, Inc. was chosen to receive the Business Leadership Award because of their commitment to supporting the vocational and personal success of its employees and its nearly decade-long hiring partnership with JEVS’ career training school, Orleans Technical Institute. Headquartered in Feasterville, Pa., Atlas has hired dozens of students from Orleans’ air conditioning, refrigeration and heating program.
2007 Business Leadership Award
David Brandolph Electric Co. received this award becaues of their commitment to supporting the vocational and personal success of its employees and its decade-long recruitment and hiring relationship with Orleans Technical Institute. Brandolph Electric is active on the school's Employer Advisory Committee, sharing technical expertise and years of experience to ensure that Orleans graduates are well-prepared to work in the industry. Brandolph Electric is a family-owned and operated, licensed electrical contractor specializing in commercial electrical work.

SEPTA
received this award for its strong partnership with Orleans Technical Institute. SEPTA's
recruiters attend the school's Employer Advisory
Committee meetings and collaborate closely with
the school to ensure that students receive the technical

2005 Business
Leadership Award
The Marlton,
NJ, office of Honeywell received this award because of its 10-year partnership with
Orleans Technical Institute to facilitate hiring
and retention of more than 30 graduates of the school.
Honeywell is also an active partner with Orleans
Tech staff in ensuring that training reflects current
employer and industry standards by serving as a
member of the school's Employer Advisory Council. The company is a nationwide provider of services to utility companies' customers.
